Intimate Chattanooga Elopement
“is there anything I can do to be prepared for anything? I’ve been so chill and I feel like I’m too relaxed and it’s freaking me out.”
This is the second part to my first wedding of 2021 and one of my favorites so far in my photographic journey. The above text is from the bride herself the day before her elopement and I felt so honored by this text. Not only did they trust me to plan and document their elopement, they also felt so calm and relaxed that it didn’t seem normal. (Talk about the best compliment ever!) A little back story, Anna inquired with me a few months ago wanting to elope in the woods by the river. After a few weeks of digging I found this gem tucked away in a little town outside of Chattanooga. This fall delivered the simple beauty of nature they were looking for that made for the perfect elopement location.
We met up and enjoyed a quiet walk as we hiked down. From the moment we set foot in site of Foster Falls, Cody and Anna starred in complete shock at every little detail surrounding them. (Y’all, this Fall is seriously just that amazing and has become one of my favorite places to elope in Chattanooga.) We wandered around a bit until choosing a place to get dressed and have the ceremony. After the ceremony, we explored more of our surroundings. Climbing over boulders and in some places crawling under the down trees. We ended up right in front of the falls, getting blasted and loving every minute of it! I seriously have to pinch myself every time I think of that moment. We ended the afternoon with a trip to Snooper’s Rock for cake and a champagne pop! A huge thanks to Anna & Cody for not only trusting me with their irreplaceable memories, but for having the courage for doing something different and embracing the elements.
