Black Balsam Knob is undoubtably one of my favorite places for couple’s to elope in Asheville, so when I get an inquiry for a ceremony there, I get very excited.
Emma and Rob drove down from Rhode Island to adventure and elope in these beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We met at the trailhead and It was wildly cold. The wind was unforgiving but in each others arms they remained warm and comfortable. The way Rob kept Emma close and held her with so much passion was captivatingly beautiful. Even in these weather conditions everything fell into place perfectly. The lighting was perfect, in fact all the elements came together and completely showed up for them. Their vows were the most heart gripping and beautifully spoken words I’ve ever heard. We spent the entire day just us, pulling over and shooting at all the beautiful spots we found. I got to sign their marriage license as one of their witnesses. It was so special.
Rob and Emma, thank you for trusting me with your day and letting me in on such a private, sacred moment. It was truly the most warming and fulfilling elopements I’ve shot this year.
