Adventurous engagement session

Adventure Engagement Session in the Blue Ridge Mountains | Asheville Wedding Photographer

Local to the Asheville area, tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a hike which leads to the most amazing cliff overlooking a valley of that is simply breathtaking. With Shannon of Fox & Owl Studio, (a wild blue ridge mountain native) at the wheel we drove on the most hilarious, scary, and sketchy road. Shannon was laughing and singing while I white knuckled it in the back seat and Carl (Shannon’s Dad, an amazing Landscape photographer ) yelled suggestions on how to avoid the side of the mountain so we didn’t crash and burn. I literally could not stop laughing at him. After Gavin & Bentley arrived and were greeted with big bear hugs and the funny story of how we got up that mountain, we started our hike into the forest . Along the way we made a couple stops for make out sessions and so Shannon could dig up wild forest snacks which are the most delicious things ever! Once we reached the top, we all just stood there and said nothing. Blown away by the beauty that was around us. The views, sunset, clouds, everything was perfect. This place is magical and truly a perfect destination to elope.

I want to thank everyone involved, who I will list below. It was a dream working with you all and from the bottom of my heart thank you.

Adventurous Engagement Session in Blue Ridge

We had such a great time during Audrey & Jake’s adventurous engagement session. We started our night together after I left an elopement in the Blue Ridge mountains to spend the night with them because we were starting our hike at sunrise. Sweet Audrey waited on me to arrive with open arms. Her hugs are truly the very best. We all talked, laughed, shared stories of life as we drank around a warm fire. We woke to rain but decided to grab Starbucks and start our adventure. We drove over an hour into the mountains jamming out to Odesza. We danced and laughed to entire way there. We ran around Boyd Gap then hiked 3 miles to the most beautiful waterfall at Turtletown Creek. We ran around barefoot as we danced in the rain while jumping over rocks getting blasted from a raging waterfall. It was an epic adventure I will never ever forget. Cheers to their love for adventure but most of all their love for each other.
